Cheyenne Frontier Days CEO says Rodeo and Concerts are “Still On”

Widely known as “The Daddy of ’em All,” the annual Cheyenne Frontier Days is a 10-day summer festival that celebrates all things cowboy. It draws top professionals who compete for more than $1 million in cash and prizes. It is an event that has something fun for everyone.

In a written statement, Frontier Days CEO Tom Hirsig said the rodeo is still on track for is 124th go-around.

"We will keep everyone updated through our website and our social media platforms," Hirsig said. "That being said, please be wary of the spread of misinformation on all platforms."

Because leaders have "their plates full right now trying to open up the state," Hirsig says CFD is taking a wait-and-see approach before pulling the plug on this year's show.

For many rodeo cowboys and cowgirls we will hope that the show will go on. The 124th Cheyenne Frontier Days is scheduled for July 17 through 26, 2020 at Frontier Park in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
